The 10er / Chicken Biryani
10AED
The plate that started it all. Bone-in chicken, marinated 14 hours in yoghurt and twelve spices, layered over saffron-stained Sella rice and dum-cooked sealed with dough. Crack the seal at the table.
EST. 2014 · DUBAI · SHARJAH · AJMAN SOON
Hand-cooked in copper degs. Slow-dum on charcoal. Long-grain Sella rice, real masalas, marinated overnight. Built for hungry people — priced for everyone.
Our story
In 2014, our founder Chef Salim Mohiuddin was running biryani for a five-star kitchen in Bur Dubai — the same dum, the same masalas, the same long-grain Sella rice that goes on tasting menus. Outside the hotel, the labourers, the students, the delivery riders he passed every morning could never afford a plate of it.
So he opened a kitchen in Karama with one rule: real biryani, ten dirhams, no shortcuts. No frozen meat. No pre-cooked rice. No food-court compromises. Twelve years and five branches later, that rule still runs the kitchen.

What people say
I've been eating here since the Karama shop opened. The 10er still tastes the same in 2026 as it did in 2014. That's the whole compliment.
Brought my colleagues from London here. They didn't believe me about the price until they tasted the mutton. Now they fly in and ask for it.
Late shift at the construction site, 12:40 AM, bike pulled up with two 10ers and karak chai still hot. They saved my Tuesday.
My grandmother is from Hyderabad. She tried the family dum and asked who their cook was. Higher praise does not exist in our family.

FAQ
No catch. We own our supply chain (rice direct from a single farm in Rajasthan, chicken from one Al Ain supplier), our kitchens are small, our menu is short, and we don't pay for fancy fit-outs or delivery franchise margins. The savings live on the plate.
No. A standard plate is 380g — heavier than the typical 300g portion in most UAE biryani houses. We weighed it.
Yes — at scale. We do sponsored distribution for labour camps, hospitals, mosques during Ramadan, schools, weddings and majlises. From 50 to 2,000+ plates. WhatsApp us a week ahead and we'll quote and plan the menu.
Yes. All meat is HACCP-certified halal, sourced from approved UAE suppliers. We don't serve pork or alcohol, anywhere.
The veg biryani is fully vegetarian. We can prepare a Jain version (no onion, garlic, root veg) at the Karama and Bur Dubai branches with 30 minutes' notice — call ahead.
The 10er has been ten dirhams since 2014. We've absorbed every price increase since. We do not plan to change that.
